Euphorbia pulcherrima

Poinsettia, botanically known as euphorbia pulcherrima, belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family and is native to Mexico. What most characterizes it and at the same time makes it so popular on the market, are its colored bracts, usually red or white, which surround the rather small yellow flower. It has an upright habit and its foliage is large, deep green.
