Polygala myrtifolia

Plant belonging to the Polygalaceae family, native to Africa. It is a medium-sized shrub. It is characterized by gray, flexible stems. The foliage is very similar to that of the myrtle, from which it differs in its larger size and streaks of color. From spring to autumn it produces lilac-colored inflorescences.
