Plant native to Australia, now widely cultivated everywhere, belonging to the Myrtaceae family. The name derives from the union of the Greek words kalos, beautiful and stemon, stamens. It is a shrubby plant that can exceed three meters in height. It is characterized by lanceolate foliage, not too intense green and by inflorescences composed of many red stamens, arranged in a panicle.
