Limequat

Plant of oriental origin, it is a hybrid between kumquat and lime. The fruits are similar to those of the kumquat, slightly more oval, yellow in color. The flavor is similar to that of lime. The variety is more resistant to low temperatures than the usual lemons. The plant is a rather small shrub with similar but narrower foliage than the common lemon. It prefers mild growing temperatures. Requires regular but not excessive watering. The ideal soil should be well drained.
